HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS + STAY CONNECTED AT LIVE EVENTS

& EVERYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW.

MAKING FRIENDS AT LIVE EVENTS

+ CATCHING UP W/ THEM AFTER CAN BE A BIT DAUNTING, BUT DON’T WORRY

THE DOS COCOS LOCOS HAVE YOUR BACK!

001 / GRAVITY (KINDA)

Find the peeps who you naturally gravitate to or that you feel the urge to compliment.

- EX: Hey I like your camera - what kind is it and . how long have you been doing photography / videography?

002 / SHAKE HANDS

+ TAKE SOME NAMES

^ Go back to the basics - don't overthink it.

003 / HAVE FUN!

You're at that event for a reason! So have a bombass time and participate! This provides memories and an even deeper connection with the peeps you just met - now you have even more to talk about.

004 / FIND + FOLLOW

Choose the peeps that you jelled with the most & follow them on social - IG / Youtube / Facebook / TikTok / Twitter / Myspace - whatever the platform it doesn't matter.

005 / IT GOES

DOWN IN THE DMs

This is the most important step - DM peeps you just followed as soon as you follow them so you don't lose their profile (it could even be while their still standing in front of you so you don't forget) and type the following:

- "Great meeting you [insert name] at [insert event name]!"

006 / ITS ALL

ABOUT THE COFFEE

Reach out later and set up a coffee date. Be specific as possible-

EX: "Hey [insert name]! Really had a great time meeting you the other day at [insert event name]. Would love to grab coffee on [date], [time], [location]. Let me know if that works for your schedule!"

007 / MEET UP IRL

Be you. You got this and remember to lead with a question and then just let the conversation flow!

NOW GO DO IT //

Go out to some local events and make some friends! it's ok to be a little nervous - but remember that great things usually happen right outside of your comfort zone - so go do it anyway!
